At 06:33 on March 13, 2026, the Long March-2D carrier rocket lifted off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, successfully delivering the test satellites Shiyan-30 03 and 04 into their preset orbits. The launch mission achieved complete success. Both the rocket and the satellites for this mission were developed under the leadership of the Eighth Academy.
The Long March-2D carrier rocket used for this mission is a two-stage liquid-propellant launch vehicle. It is capable of launching single or multiple satellites into different orbits as required, with a sun-synchronous circular orbit payload capacity of 1.3 tonnes (at an altitude of 700 kilometers).
This launch marks the 102 flight of the Long March-2D carrier rocket, the 259 launch of Long March series rockets developed by the Eighth Academy, and the 632 launch of China's Long March carrier rocket family.
